The French Connection (Outhier)

The Outhier family history has been studied extensively.  I don't intend to add a lot more information on them. For my cousins, our line comes in here at Carrie Lena Outhier who marries Frances Ward Barr in 1876.  And by now, you all know where this is in the tree.

I will add more on those direct ancestors and how they lead to our current family in Washington.

Carrie Lena Outhier

1875–1953

BIRTH 02 FEB 1875 • Illinois, USA

DEATH 6 NOV 1953 • Aberdeen, Grays Harbor, Washington, United States

2nd great-grandmother

The California Sikes

This is a collection of information on the California Sikes family.  We are descended from this same family but William Ezra Sikes settled in Washington state around 1882.  The common ancestor with this California group is John Sikes and Mary Rockwell, parents of Sylvanus Sikes and the the California brothers.

The 1/2 Flippin(s)

It started with a dna match...

It ended with a new cousin and friend.  Who cares were' half third cousins, not sure how many times removed.

Our shared ancestor is Samuel Wesley Flippin.  We are the "other woman's" descendants.  Samuel Wesley divorces his wife (Nova's ancestor) of many years and marries a woman half his age and has a child, Fred Flippins (cousins, please tell me you are tracking right now).  As a note, it's not a typo with the S added to Flippins.  For some reason Fred added the S, making all of you have the name Flippins.

On anything to do with the Flippin ancestry, you will see her name, Nova Lemons.
